The story

01 · The garage · 2015

My best friend and I started a drinkware company in a one-car garage.

No investors, no team, no real plan beyond making something we'd actually want to drink out of. We called it Created Co. Most mugs were either cheap and forgettable or built like camping gear. We wanted the thing on your desk to feel considered.

02 · The long middle

Nobody tells you how much of building a company is the middle part.

We found our people in specialty coffee shops first. Then hotels, golf clubs and companies who wanted their name on something worth keeping. We learned factories, freight, margins and payroll the hard way. More than a decade later, we still run it together.

03 · What goes in the mug · 2022

I launched Proper Syrup. Today it's on the shelf at Target.

A better syrup for specialty coffee shops, from the same instinct as the mugs: the stuff behind the counter deserved more care.
